Frequently Asked Questions

What is trauma-informed therapy?

Trauma-informed therapy is an approach that recognises the impact trauma can have on a person’s mind and body. It focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered and understood.

What should I expect in a one-on-one therapy session?

Sessions are relaxed, collaborative, and paced according to your needs. We’ll work together to explore what’s present for you, with a focus on safety, nervous system awareness, and gradual integration of trauma or emotional challenges.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or find that past experiences are impacting your daily life, therapy can offer support and guidance. It’s a space to be heard and held without judgement.

Do I need a referral to book a session?

No, you don’t need a referral. You’re welcome to get in touch directly to book your first session.

How long are therapy sessions and how often should I attend?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. Frequency depends on your needs and preferences—some clients come weekly, others fortnightly or monthly.

Do you offer in-person or online sessions?

I’m based in Wollongbar, NSW, and I work with clients from across the area: Wollongbar, Alstonville, Ballina & Lismore, as well as online with people throughout Australia.

Can I claim therapy sessions through Medicare or private health?

What are your workshops about?

Workshops focus on nervous system regulation, embodied healing, and building emotional resilience. They offer a supportive group environment to explore themes around trauma, healing, and self-connection.

How do I register for a workshop?
